There are many defects in the precision casting parts. The defects and causes are very complicated. Sometimes, there are many defects caused by various reasons on the same casting, or the same reason can cause a variety of defects at the same time. Whether the defective castings are classified as scrap must be determined according to the purpose and requirements of the castings and the locations and severity of the defects. Under normal circumstances, there are minor defects that can be used directly; if there are moderate defects, they can be used after repair; if there are serious defects, they can only be scrapped.
